Undergraduate Research Opportunities
We are looking for enthusiastic, well-organized students with excellent interpersonal skills. If you are a sophomore, junior, or senior at UCR with a GPA of 3.0 or higher and would like to obtain research experience in our lab, we ask that you fill out our application form. We will contact you for an interview if we are in need of undergraduate research assistants. We keep applications on file for one year.
Previous research experience is not required. This is a great opportunity for highly motivated and responsible students who are interested in applying to graduate school, medical school, etc.
Prospective Graduate Students
If you are interested in our lab’s research, please contact Dr. Jimmy Calanchini personally to express your interest. Dr. Calanchini selects graduate students first and foremost on the basis of research fit, so please read the lab’s publications closely, paying special attention to recent publications as a guide to the lab’s current focus. All are welcome to apply, and we are especially interested in students from backgrounds that are traditionally underrepresented in higher education.
